Book 2 in the series is just as good, maybe even better than book 1. Probably because I am so familiar with the main characters. I love the bishop, Henry. He’s a wonderful shepherd to his flock. And Emma rocks. This story had me up into the wee hours because I couldn’t put it down. Vannetta is such a good author. So much detail. She’s really researched her topics. I enjoy her authors notes. And I love the recipes at the end of the book. I highly recommend this book!!! Okay, gotta go and start reading book 3. I buy all of the books in a series at the same time so I can read one after the other. So much fun.

I've just read my second book in the series "Amish Bishop Mysteries" and it was great, couldn't figure out til the end and I didn't want to put down. I like that the author lets you know ups and downs of life and has bible verse to help us through these times. Vannetta Chapman is a great author!!
