Katherine Marsh was practically a slave to her brother's family in the small English country village where she lived. Then she met Dr. Jason Fitzroy--and fell instantly in love. Dr. Fitzroy found her a job at the hospital and gave her a new sense of self-respect. He also gave Katherine her first taste of the freedom missing from her earlier years. But Katherine knew she could never be truly free--not while her heart was a prisoner of love.
When Two Paths Meet is one of my favorites of Betty Neels. A young lady poorly treated by her brother and his family unexpectedly meets a very kind doctor who essentially saves her. Highly recommended.
When Two Paths Meet

Like most of The Best of Betty Neels, When Two Paths Meet is another romance with a well thought-out plot about the struggles and triumph of an endearing heroine who puts up with the absurd from her brother's family, until a capable doctor turns her world upside down and later makes freedom possible and self-respect that comes with it. There are still pitfalls to avoid and misunderstandings to keep the two occupied until they reach a happy conclusion. The book arrived in good condition and was a pleasure to read.
