Paul Reiser encapsulates the experience of having your first child perfectly. My wife and I had a little boy 4 months ago and are going through, or have gone through, everything that Reiser describes in hilarious detail. I consider this to be one of the funniest books I have ever read. Reiser is particularily adept at pointing out the funny things that a new parent thinks about and is traumatized by. Maybe it's because I have 4 "babies" of my own, but I thought this was the funniest book I've read in a very long time. I laughed so hard, numerous times, that I almost cried! Paul Reiser is a gifted comedian and writer. He managed to write a hilarious book that was entertaining and wholesome...a rarity these days.

I haven't laughed like this for a long long time. The most humorous parental guidance which covers the aspect that other books may overlook-- the emotional side of parenthood. Paul Reiser has shown his talent in capturing things in the cutest perspective.

Reiser does it again--from his roles in movie's, such as, "Local Hero" to"Diner" to"Sudden Impact",to his literary endevers, he never stops to aim true and hit my funy bone! This time he aims at baby's and, boy, does he hit acomedy bullseye! I cracked "up"! They really are,like old men in wrinkly pink suits! Big type makes it easier to dig up all the comedy "nugget's" that paul has buried.
