Great Apologetics

I have a number of apologetics books, but this one is the simplest and most memorable overview of the excellent evidence for the truth of the Bible. All too often Christians get sidelined by the constant skeptics' attacks that the Bible has errors in it, cannot be trusted, and so on. It's pathetic when a Christian cannot answer a skeptic who doesn't even begin to accept the Bible as any authority. This small book powerfully refutes them all, including evolution. Everyone should memeorize this book! Then go to the more lengthy ones, such as those from Josh McDowell, Norman Geisler, stuff from Answers In Genesis and Institute For Creation Research, etc. to fill in any more questions.
For a quick overview, this book can't be beat

I've given out many copies of this book to people who at least claim to be seeking the truth -- it's the best primer I've found yet on the truth of bibilical Christianity, and it can be read in a few hours. I wish I'd discovered it in the beginning of my journey instead of several years into it.

"Why I Believe" is a masterpiece of Christian apologetics. Kennedy writes as he preaches--with an obvious intelligence and remarkable clarity of thought. His arguments are well documented from both Holy Scripture and historical fact itself. Though perhaps not quite on the same level as C.S. Lewis's "Mere Christianity," Kennedy's book is nonetheless a thought-provoking work that every Christian would be well-served to read. One of the great things about Kennedy is that he never goes out of his way to be politically correct. While some of his views may strike some--even fellow conservatives--as a bit too opinionated, I personally find his wholeheartedly partisan voice refreshing in this era of diluted faith. Moreover, Kennedy's writing style is quite fluid and easy to understand, so you don't have to be a philosophy major to get the point. If you are, so much the better--you'll have something new to philosophize about. No, everyone may not agree with Kennedy's point of view, but even the most critical open-minded reader should come away from "Why I Believe" with a lot to think about, even as orthodox Christians will find themselves better armed to defend their faith.

I was astounded by the many factual accounts in this book. I myself had no idea there was such evidence to support the Christian faith. You'll have to read it for yourself to believe it!
