"With Miriam Minger, you're assured of a good read " - Heartland Critiques The gentle sister of Ireland's most infamous rebel, Maire O'Byrne remains ever loyal to country and clansmen--until a strange... This description may be from another edition of this product.
Actually i found this book quite engrossing and i liked it even more than Wild Angel. THe heroine is quite likable (in my opinion much more likable than Triona of Wild Angel) because she has suffered a lot in life and we feel empathy for her because of her weak condition. Maire has been a sickly woman most of her life and only recently has managed to regain her ability to walk. She still cannot walk properly (probably never will) and is considered a cripple. She believes her condition will make it impossible for anyone to love her. But Maire is a very beautiful woman and she steals the heart of the Norman Lord who ends up, against his will, having to keep her in his castle.(after she is hurt during her kidnapping by his clan) He takes care of her very tenderly and I loved the way he is immediately so protective of her. He falls in love with her very soon. My only complaint is that the way it ended seemed a bit rushed - as if another book was meant for Niall (the last brother) and which would tie up some loose ends. However i dont think Ms Minger ended up writing a book for him.
