Invaluable for helping kids read

I tutor first graders and have found this book an invaluable resource. It's a great source for ideas for making learning fun and a positive experience. It's helped me get away from the deadly drills and the frustration that goes along with it, and offers me new inspiration. Recommended for anyone trying to teach a young child to read.
Not just for learning difficulties

I wish I had this book when my children were learning to read. There are a wide variety of fun games to help children learn to read, whether they have a learning difficulty or not. I've given a copy to my daughter's 2nd grade teacher to use in her classroom. I keep my copy in the car for long drives to play word games. It is a terrific, fun to use book.
