Funny and feisty true-crime writer Dakota Phillips has almost everything she wants. She's still looking for the perfect man: very tall, very educated and very cultured--all wrapped up inrich chocolate brown. So far, her insecurities about her generouscurves and her independent streak have kept her searching. Nick is a self-made mogul who works hard, plays hard and loveslife's finer things. He's not perfect, but he makes Dakota feelbeautiful, desirable--and maybe a little too vulnerable. Dakotacan't surrender to a take-charge man, and Nick has worked toohard for everything to give up control. Moving on would beeasy--except for a little complication called love.
Great straight forward story, with a realistic plot. This reminds us of the insecurities we woman can have that we allow to spoil our joy, even when we meet a man who knows what he wants and we happen to be it! The hero is the kind of man all woman wish for even when stubborn.

I loved this story. The pace & characters were just right. If you like Alphas you'll love Nick because he's Alpha to the core. I found myself completely relating Dakota - I wanted to knock him upside his head one moment & was melting the next. She was the perfect match for him. You will love her sister & new best friend, too. I can't wait for their stories. This was the first book I've read by M. Shuster but I will definitely be picking up her others.

this read was fun, the characters were 3-D and were fun and loving Ms. Schuster you did it again............you gave the reader fun, sexy, and a message that works now............... I loved Cha-Cha........she stole the show......... the part of how Nick felt about Dakota was so much fun when his brother said "he does not like cats" chapter 8 is wonderful you will love it.
Does Nick have a cousin?

There are so many good things about this book, I wouldn't know where to start. Ms Dakota- she is so funny, edgy, extremely smart, more beautiful then she is aware of, Mr. Nick- he is very outspoken, stubborn, romantic, and kind of clueless about women. The in-laws are fantastic what a treat, I can't wait for their books to come out. Melanie has a way of telling a story about women, that you want to be friends with, men who you want for yourself, and the family is always the icing on the cake. I think reading this book, like all of Melanie books is like watch a good movie, the kind that is funny, mature, there are sad parts and parts that make you mad, but you always find yourself pulling for this couple to make it. Ms Schuster I thank you and please keep up the good work.

Nick Hunter is the quintessential Alfa-Male, his rugged good looks dripping in testosterone makes more of an impression after a minor fender-bender with the Pulitzer Prize winning, best selling author, Dakota Phillips than she is comfortable to admit. As Nick makes his intentions known that he is the only man for Dakota, she has to look within herself and decide if she is "the woman" who can accept all that Nick has to offer. Working Man is a face paced, hot, sexy, excursion into romance. Nick and Dakota match each other in strength, intelligence, and determination. Melanie Schuster has done it again. Kimani Romance has one more author who is sure to keep books flying off the shelf.
