World of Stone 1: Regulator / Mercenary

The Merit Party cancelled the democratic election and turned America into a dictatorship, but there are some who will rise to stand against the tide of fascism.

Graciella "Stone" O'Leary just wants a chance to use her basketball skills and her powerful intelligence to make a better life for herself and her father. But after a night as a prisoner of the Martins, the regional directors of the Merit Party, she learns the painful lesson that in the world that exists after the Cancelled Election, her future is not hers to decide. Like her ancestor Boudica, the rebel queen who took on the Roman Empire, Stone will risk everything to bring death and destruction on the elites who control her world and repress everyone not born to privilege.

Rizzo was a legend in the making, a kid from the flats on the way to becoming a pro basketball player, until crossing the Martins landed him on the Chain Gang facing a slow, cruel death sentence of years of hard labour. You work till you drop, and when you can't work anymore, you die. After watching the guards drag two men to their execution for a trivial offence, Rizzo decides to enact his plan: he will lead a revolution to overthrow the Merit Party. He knows where to start -- by hitting them at their most sensitive point, their money, in an outrageous heist that shouldn't be possible.

Stone, Rizzo, and others who join them will fight not just for the impossible dream of overthrowing the system, but to inflict on the Merit elites a righteous nightmare of blood, fire, and revenge.
