I paid 20 cents for this book online and I can't believe how valuable this book really is. I never realized how poorly my resume was untill I read this book. It has all types of scenarios in it such as resume styles for new grads, career changers, job hoppers, etc. I followed the styles in this book and have had 3 interview requests already in just 2 weeks! It boggles me that the cheapest book I bought was the biggest return for me! You will not be disappointed by this book. Yes, it was printed in 1997, but all you have to do is change a few of the words (I think they refer to Word Perfect, just change to Microsoft Office 2003). Fantastic Book!

Ms. Lefkowitz has produced an outstanding guide that is tailored specifically to administrative people. Other resume books provide the basics, but the formulas and the cookie cutter molds just don't seem to lend themselves to admin careers. Her book is a godsend for professional secretaries. Each of the chapters goes through the steps for translating the myriad of everyday tasks into clear, concise, and impressive bullet items. Her section on writing the qualifications statement is particularly helpful. She breaks it down into parts and shows the reader how to tailor it to each job posting. The examples at the end provide different examples on how to word things as well as ideas for formating and layouts (something that is important for a secretary to demonstrate some talent at doing). Using her instructions and those examples, it's easy to put together a resume that gets results! I've had nothing but compliments (and interviews) after using this book.
