Book Overview

#1 Best Seller in New Age & Spirituality, Graphology ─ Write to Explore Your Deep Soul

"I am a writer. Today I write." Those are the opening lines in the Writing Blessing that author Janet Conner has spoken daily since 2007.

Devine dialogue. Janet Conner is a writer, poet, and spiritual field guide─but first and always a deep soul explorer. Since she discovered how to activate a divine Voice by slipping into the theta brain wave state (the intriguing border between the conscious and the subconscious) while writing, Janet has dedicated herself to exploring and sharing what it means to live at the vibrant intersection of the visible and the invisible. In Writing Down Your Soul, Janet transforms journal-writing from self-reflection in the alpha brainwave state into divine dialogue in theta.

Life-changing power of writing. Of all the ways to get in touch with God, as you understand God, why take the time to write? One reason: it works. It works amazingly well. If you want to engage in a vibrant conversation with the wisdom that dwells just below your conscious awareness, write. Write every day, at approximately the same time, with passion, honesty, and the intention of speaking with and listening to the voice within.

Your healing inner voice. After hitting rock bottom while escaping a terrible situation of domestic abuse, Janet's inner voice told her to start writing. As she wrote, her inner voice gained clarity and strength, and she felt an incredible connection to the divine. Miracles began to happen. Today, research scientists are providing peeks into what consciousness is and how it works. Their findings give us intriguing clues as to what is actually happening in and through our bodies, minds, and spirits as we roll pen across paper. Writing Down Your Soul explores some of this research and instructs how to access the power and beauty of our own deepest selves.

Extraordinary... writing and results!

I so thoroughly enjoyed this book, just for the writing alone. Janet's story is amazing and gives hope to all of us especially when we're in a down spot. Truly inspiring... but then there is the process of soul writing - my oh my - I had no idea I would be in for such a ride as getting to know the Voice of my own Spirit! I have sporadically journaled for years but gave up usually out of disgust with the "pity-party on a page" that I always seemed to create. Now, I write eagerly just to find out what my kind, loving inner voice has to say to me. Get this book and Soul Write! You will be astonished.

Writing Down Your Soul

Isn't it interesting that Janet's book comes along just when our individual and collective worlds need it. Janet is an extraordinary writer who literally and figuratively takes the reader by the hand and leads them to finding solutions to their problems. This book is a scientifically based, 21st Century, "how to" on problem solving. Wayne Dyer tells us that there is a spiritual solution to every problem and Janet gives us an itinerary to those solutions. Helping professionals will want to work with their clients through Janet's techniques. This book is a guide to helping all of us on our inner and outer journeys through this life. Saying this is a "must read" is an incredible understatement. If you do not need this help at this time in your life, you know someone who does; buy them this book; you'll both feel better.

Pure Divine Inspiration!!!

I have read many books on creativity, writing and developing a spiritual practice, but not until Janet Conner's wonderful book did all of these concepts ever truly integrate themselves into one amazing work! Conner creates a model anyone can use to find their true voice by connecting with THE VOICE--the energy which brings forward our creativity, humanity and soul. Her own writing style is very comforting and her concept to get you to take on journaliing is perhaps the best I've ever seen. While she gives great credit to Cameron's ARTIST WAY, I think Conner comes into her own as a Master Counselor with this work--you truly GET why you should write each day and she comes at from a highly integrated perspective--even explaining the biologoical reason why writing is good for you! I cannot recommend this book highly enough! Thank God for Janet's work!

...a direct line to god...

Janet Conner's has created a masterpiece! Her simple insightful technique provides each soul writer with a direct line to god ... Writing Down Your Soul should be required reading (and writing) for anyone wishing to contact and learn from the deeper layers of their own Sacred Soul. Janet is a masterful teacher, powerful writer and witty wayshower whose wisdom comes from wrestling with her own spirit ... and writing down the words delivered to her directly from the Voice. Hearing her amazing stories, following her simple directions ... puts one in direct contact with one's own Voice, Spirit, Soul, God, Goddess, Enlightened One. It works. It's wonderful.

... grabbed me at the dedication page...

Writing down the soul grabbed me at the dedication page and held me in its grip for 177 pages. At page 178, nature and dinner were calling! I skipped dessert and finished the book that night. Instead of chocolate, I filled my craving with Conner's pearls of wisdom and insights. The next morning I woke with the resolve to practice journaling. Two things distinguish Conner's book from others in its genre: First, Conner is an exceptional writer. She writes as if she's speaking to you. Second, Conner establishes credibility with readers who are advocates of positive psychology. She sites a half dozen or more research studies supporting the benefits of journaling.
