Smoke and mirrors is right... sometimes, one can't see the big picture becaue of it. Okay, picture this. Someone finds a "cure" for mutation, and as it seems, it will become law to have the procedure done if you're a mutant. The Catch? You only have a fifty-fifty chance at survival. And strangely enough, no one can really pin point the person who supposedly discovered the cure, or what his intenions are. Into that pot, throw a couple off teens (mutants all) who are wannabe superheros, Mr. Sinister and what seems to be a resurection of the Weapon X project. Last but not least, have the X-Men try to save the day, and stop this from becoming law. Recepie for X-citement I'd say!

This was _such_ a well-written book! This book captures the sense of both fun _and_ angst that made the X-Men great in its heyday. And I _loved_ the Ohio Mutant Conspiracy! (Bes Shahar brings them back in Book 3 of Time's Arrow, sort of.)

While the book was about the x-men, I found myself more interested in what was happening with the mutant teenagers from Ohio. They could've been great if introduced in the comics.
I loved this book!

The X-Men attempt to stop a bill from being past that will make being a mutant illegal. The book introduces five young mutants that are entertaining refreshing. Chapter art is done by Roger Cruz (the artist of X-Man) and adds flavor to the book itself.
