I picked this book up blindly and I loved the style of this book switching between the two women and their stories, eventually intertwining together. This book was so sad in the beginning but turned out to be beautiful and shows how to transmute pain into something you can love. I liked the authors ability to show two very different scenes side by side and their ability to transport me to each of their stores as I read. Plus it’s sapphic.

I really enjoyed that I was really able to get to know each character and their background. I will meet the beginning of the book was a little tough to read just because it made me uncomfortable but I like the way it was written and it helped me stay interested. I read this book quickly. I did, however, expect the characters to spend more time together but overall I would read it again.
