In the first book in this series, Bullet For A Star, Toby Peters was an interesting and fun hard boiled private eye, and the story was great. The second book, Murder On The Yellow Brick Road, felt like someone had read the first, and was trying to imitate it, unsuccessfully. I fought through that, hoping the third book would be better.
That hope was dashed by page 17 of the third book. Toby has become a real a-hole, and I will do something I have only done with a couple of books in my 63 years: I will throw it in the trash.
