This hip and funny guide to life by Cosmopolitan editor-in-chief and New York Times bestselling author Kate White is in the tradition of Helen Gurley Brown's classic Sex and the Single Girl.
I really liked this book because it was action oriented. The tips were simple, the stories and examples that Ms. White used for the reader to relate were right on. I like that the book is done in short chapters divided into subjects which made it easy to go back and use the book as a reference and not just reading. It is a candid view of subjects yet allows the reader to fit the skill into her own life using her own personality. The book is divided into 6 parts: Part 1- Starting Now, Part 2- Work, Part 3- Men and Love, Part 4- Sex, Part 5- Style and Part 6- Life. Great little Gem to have on your book shelf ;)

This is the same book as "How to Set His Thighs on Fire". The chapters are in different order though. The book gives very useful advice to women, young and old, on work relationships and intimate relationships. I liked the author's upfront style of writing, the examples given, and the no nonsense approach. I will be giving a copy to each one of my nieces when they become of age. Good advice!!
Just great advice.

I don't know why there aren't more reviews for this little book. I'm 20 and just yesterday decided that I need to re evaluate my life, my goals for school, my dreams, basically everything. And then today at my local used book store I found this book! And I've already read half of it, because it's so easy to read! Like the other reviewer said, there isn't anything ground-breakingly new in it. There's just a lot of really useful information that we all know deep down inside but we really just need to be reminded of! There's 86 mini-chapters of advice in total. She divides the book into "Starting Now", "Work", "Men and Love", "Sex", "Style" and "Life". It's just a really great little book to highlight and underline in and to reference whenever you're feeling like you're not quite sure about yourself no matter which one of those above categories you feel that way about.

I read this book in 3 hours on an airplane. I absolutely loved it! I loved the begininng when she discusses people who know what they want to be when they grow-up at a young age (me!) and do it! Very inspiring. she offers some advice, but for the most part it is stuff you already know... it is just represented in a way that makes you want to run out and take the world over! The sex tips were awesome as well. Must husband loved many of them, and encouraged me to buy more Kate White books! So...as the title of my review states...all will benefit: you and your man. Highly Recommended.
