What a Great Idea I wish I had thought of it!

Graphic novelish history...my kids eat these up and so I have even taken to buying them in Library Bound at extra expense becase they are read that often. With 5 kids and the oldest two 9 and 7 I am sure to have a lot more handling of these books. They are very informative and yet to an adult-very tongue in cheek. We actually read these as bed time stories believe it or not because the kids find them so fascinating. Their favorites are You wouldn't want to be sick in the 16th Century and you the You wouldn't.....build the Great Wall of China. I have found all of them high interest....even if you have a child who is a reluctant reader...the text is in bite sized pieces and their is a great deal of illustrations per page. Almost like a comic book, but not quite.... I buy these for gifts for boys I know grades 1-5 that I know love history or that struggle with reading. They always tell me how much they enjoyed them because the title wasn't too much reading. Funny thing is, I think if you combined all the bite sized chunks on a page....it would still be a fully page of text! Ha! Wish I would have come up with this idea first!
