"The Hollywood memoir that tells all . . . Sex. Drugs. Greed. Why, it sounds just like a movie."--The New York Times Every memoir claims to bare it all, but Julia Phillips's actually does. This is an... This description may be from another edition of this product.
Yeas, Julia rambles on and on. Stream of conscientiousness stuff that has you wondering what she is referencing. But at the heart of this is her purposeful slide into cocaine addiction and the sordid side of Hollywood. the views of some of Hollywoods chosen people and their warts is worth the read.
Some Hollywood Insight

Worth a read. Interesting take on the crazy life of Hollywood movie making. Julia puts together a lengthy book despite being consumed with drugs. I found it somewhat entertaining. Interesting take on Richard Dreyfus.
Unbelievably awful writing.

An incoherent mass of ramblings....like the diary of an uneducated 12-year-old girl, but on coke and with a massive ego. I bought it ONLY for the Don Simpson parts.
Waste.
I'll Never Get Suckered in by 5 Stars Again

A complete mess of a book. Jumbled and incomplete thoughts, endless namedropping of no-names and first names and who? names -- zero true insight into how movies are made -- you will be greatly disappointed if you think you're going to learn how The Sting, Taxi Driver or Close Encounters was really made. This is a coke addict/alcoholic who made some money in Hollywood, spent most of it on cocaine and drugs and then became mad at the world. Save your money and forget the hype. Julia Phillips must have a lot of friends working overtime to post these phony reviews with anything more than 1 star -- I only gave her one because they won't let you give Zero.
